Parrish Healthcare, a district healthcare system located in Titusville, FL, has become the first health system in the United States to join the new Cleveland Clinic Connected affiliation model, which provides expertise and support to community hospitals around the world. Cleveland Clinic Connected has two previous affiliations, in Shanghai and Hanoi.
Parrish sought an affiliation with a major academic health system to help it improve its quality and operational effectiveness, and to expand its range of services. Due to our previous projects with the Cleveland Clinic, including its acquisition of Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, FL (while at our previous firm), we were well-positioned to introduce Parrish to the Clinic.
The relationship with the Cleveland Clinic will help Parrish further develop its clinical expertise, quality processes and operational excellence. These efforts will support the development of innovative care models and contracts with the area’s rapidly growing space-related corporations (SpaceX, Blue Origin, et al) as well as with the expanding cruise and freight activity at Port Canaveral.
The arrangement also includes the Cleveland Clinic providing telestroke care to Parrish, replacing Parrish’s current program.
We assisted Parrish in presenting its capabilities and desired services in order to qualify for the Connected program, coordinated the process and assisted Parrish in negotiating the agreements.
